In autumn 2012, representatives of seven self-governments began cooperation in respect to joint promotion of the region. Promotional campaign “7 Mazurian Wonders” is first of its kind venture that gathered different towns ( Mikołajki, Węgorzewo, Giżycko, Ruciane – Nida, Pisz, Ryn and Mrągowo), often considered as competitive.
Promotion departments’ specialists from each town, during working meetings, developed common direction of promotional activities. It referred to creating new tourist attractions, to expand the scope of current actions in each place. These actions engage all local governments e.g. Sailing Grand Prix – 7 Mazurian Wonders Cup, which is series of regatta organized by each partner.
The idea of the project is to create recognizable brand, that will help promoting the most beautiful parts of Mazury and broaden tourist attractions offered in the region.
